With over 120 years combined experience we know a thing or two about most things in care & recruitment but we are always learning new things daily.

Go Above and beyond…….
Always offer to help with any tasks, whether they are part of your specific job role or not. You may be working with a service user but another service user may also be waiting as long as you’ve done providing that high level of service in full continue to proceed and be sympathetic and provide that service of excellence to them also.
Know your job role…….
As an agency worker, you may be providing personal care one minute and then cooking the next, so its really important you know what is expected of you before you arrive at your location and what your job role will involve. It’s always good to know what your going to be doing so you can be fully prepared for your shift and if anything crops up.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions…..
You’re only human, you wont be expected to know everything about your shift, especially as you may not have worked at this particular home or venue before. So if a client asks you a question you don’t know ask your team leader or manager. Don’t be afraid to ask.
Help service users as much as possible…..
It’s important to always put service users first. Ask them how their day is going and if they need anything at all doing. Always put yourself in the service users shoes and think about how you would like to be treated in that similar situation.
